Cell Phone Recycle Program
The Rotary Club of Fredericktowne has recently began a new program which collects used cell phones and chargers. These phones are then provided to the Frederick Memorial Hospital Transitional Care Unit. The phones are reprogrammed to only call 911 and are provided to elderly patients who have long term medical issues but are being sent home following their treatment. These phones will allow these patients to contact emergency personnel if necessary by simply pressing a button.
